MORE than £2,000 was raised for a Suffolk church in a dog show despite the temperamental weather.
The annual Hadleigh Deanery Garden Fete and Dog Show, organised by friends of St Mary's Church, attracted hundreds of people on Saturday.
Dogs of all shapes and sizes were put through their paces by the town's trainers group Dogs Sense.
They performed relaxation and agility demonstrations to the crowds before asking them to bring their four-legged friends forward to take part.
Awards given out on the day included best six legs (for dog and owner), best puppy, dog most like owner, best trick and best dog in show.
Sheila Webb, one of the joint organisers, said: “Obviously the rain did not help but we had lots of dogs and the demonstrations were quite intriguing.
“We were surprised just how many people turned up considering the weather - we think there were possibly 300, or even more.”
