FIREFIGHTERS rescued a shire horse after it fell 20 feet into a river.
Harvey, an 1,870lbs gelding, tumbled down a steep bank and landed in running water on Tuesday night.
The 16-year-old, 18-hand beast was too tired to get back up the bank so trained firefighters were called in to crane him out of trouble.
Harvey walked away from the drama, in Tarrant Keyneston, Dorset, without injury.
