A ROYAL visitor will be in town next month to open the new Garrett Anderson Centre at Ipswich Hospital.
The Duke of Gloucester will officially unveil the new state-of-the-art building on Monday July 7.
On the same day he has also been asked to open the restored Christchurch Park as well as St Lawrence's Church as a centre for the community in Ipswich.
The new £26million Garrett Anderson Centre finally opened at Ipswich Hospital earlier this month after months of delays.
It represents the biggest development at the hospital since it was created in the early 1970s.
Christchurch Park has undergone a massive overhaul in the past two years with more than £4million being spent doing it up.
St Lawrence's Church, in Dial Lane, was empty for 35 years since closing in the prior £1million of work to transform into a community centre for the use of Ipswich residents local charities and organisations.
