ANOTHER day and another fuel price nightmare for Suffolk's drivers today as the huge disparity in what motorists are forced to pay to fill up continued.
Throughout the area fuel prices varied wildly as oil companies cashed in at the expense of the British driver.
In Ipswich motorists could get away with paying 102.9p for unleaded while in Felixstowe the cheapest you could fill-up with unleaded was 105.9p.
Today's Evening Star PriceCheck aims to help you find the cheapest place to fill up for the weekend.
Last week canny drivers could find unleaded at 101.9p in Ipswich - a penny cheaper than today.
Today there was a six pence difference between the cheapest and most expensive for unleaded and for diesel that difference rose to seven pence.
Fuel prices in the East are now the highest in the country bar London, with the cost of a gallon of unleaded petrol increasing by more than 80 pence in the last year.
Motorists have been left puzzling about how the companies arrive at their prices - but the main factor is clearly the price the station purchased the fuel for in the first place.
However this leaves stations throughout the area offering fuel at different prices - even though they may be from the same fuel or supermarket chain or within a mile of each other.
Unleaded fuel in the area ranged today from 102.9 to 108.9 while diesel ranged from 108.9 to 115.9.
