A DOCTOR sexually assaulted a 13-year-old patient at a hospital to recreate a child pornography pose, a court has heard.

Rashid Sandhu, 30, who worked at the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston wrongly told the girl she was pregnant and offered to carry out an abortion.

While claiming to perform the termination, Sandhu, of Welling, Kent, massaged gel into her breasts.

Afterwards, he asked the girl if he could photograph her naked body. Detectives later found more than 100 images of child pornography on a laptop belonging to Sandhu, the court heard.

Sandhu denies sexually assaulting the girl. On Monday he pleaded guilty to possession of the indecent images, jurors were told.

The victim had initially attended the hospital fearing she may be pregnant but tests carried out by Sandhu proved negative and she was prescribed medication for a urine infection.

Later, Sandhu contacted the victim through one of her friends and claimed there was a still a possibility she was pregnant and told her to return to the hospital.

The girl said she wanted an abortion and, about 20 minutes later, left the office in a “distressed state”, jurors were told.

Police began an investigation after the girl spoke at school about having a termination.

The trial continues.
