A drunk Ipswich woman who crashed her car into the back of another has been told to do 80 hours unpaid work. Louise Jackson, 38, of Eustace Road, Ipswich, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol after police discovered she was nearly three times over the limit.
Jackson had 90 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court heard that her car wrote off the vehicle in front when it stopped suddenly and she failed to brake quick enough, driving into the back of it.
Jackson told the Court she was “disgusted” with her behaviour of February 19. Magistrates told her to do unpaid work for the community and disqualified her from driving for 24 months.
Jackson was placed on probation supervision for six months and told to pay £65 costs. She was offered the chance to do the drink drivers' rehabilitation course to reduce her ban by six months.
