A WOMAN and child suffered smoke inhalation following a flat fire in Thorpe-le-Soken, Essex.
Firefighters from Weeley and Clacton were called to the flat in Byng Close at 1.20am this morning to find smoke coming from the premises.
The fire was already out but the crew placed a 33-year-old woman and a four-year-old boy in the care of the ambulance service as they were suffering from smoke inhalation.
The incident was dealt with by 1.50am.
