A WOMAN has died after fire swept through her home in the village of Sible Hedingham today.
The woman, aged in her forties, lived at the property with her elderly parents and brother, who all escaped from the burning house in High Street Green.
Fire crews were called after neighbours spotted flames and smoke billowing from the two-storey house.
The mother of the victim was rescued from a first floor bedroom window by a neighbour who carried her down a ladder to safety while her husband and son made their way out.
The fire was already burning too intensely for any rescue attempt to be made for the daughter, who was trapped inside the house.
