POLICE today issued an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to following a distraction burglary in Stowmarket.

On December 20, between 6.15pm and 6.25pm, two men called at the home of an elderly woman in Combs Ford, claiming to be from the water board.

One asked her to run her kitchen taps and while she was occupied, another man entered the property.

When the woman discovered the second man she challenged the first, who made a call on his mobile phone. The second man appeared and they left.

A black saloon car was seen to pull away from outside the property at around the same time.

A safe, which contained cash and jewellery, was later found to be missing.

The first man is described as white, of large build, 5ft 7ins, around 30-years-old, with an Irish accent and was wearing a blue woolly hat, a navy jacket, navy trousers and gloves.

The second male is described as white, smaller than the first, with wrinkled, tanned skin. He wore the same clothing as the first man.
