CREWS were called to tackle a pair of house fires.
The first, in Newmarket's Valley Way, took place at around 10pm yesterday. Firefighters took 25 minutes to douse the flames in the mid terrace house.
At 10.30pm, a fire at a home in Harwich was extinguished. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle the blaze, which was put out before 11pm.
