AVIVA, the parent group of Norwich Union have today announced plans to slash annual costs by £350million meaning jobs could be under threat.The insurance giant said it was unclear at this stage how staff would be affected by the move, but confirmed job cuts were under consideration.

The insurance giant said it was unclear at this stage how staff would be affected by the move, but confirmed job cuts were under consideration.
The company employs more than 30,000 staff in the UK, out of a total workforce of around 60,000 and is planning to trim £300million from its UK operation alone within two years.
Aviva has a number of offices across the UK, with main operations in Norwich, York, Perth, Sheffield and Southampton.
