FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire in the public toilets of an Ipswich pub.
Crews from the Princes Street headquarters were called to the Cricketers, Crown Street, shortly before 6.20pm and the pub was evacuated.
The fire, described as small, started in the first floor toilet and was put out shortly before 7pm.
A member of staff at the pub said at 7.20pm: “We are closed briefly while we finish clearing up but will be open again for business shortly.”
The police were not called to the fire which is not though to have been started deliberately.
