MERRY Christmas everyone!
That was the message from Father Christmas as he paraded through the streets of Ipswich.
Supported by elves and with a police escort, Santa delighted the crowds as he passed on seasons greetings and handed out goodies to youngsters.
Then it was off to his grotto in the Co-op department store in Carr Street.
Carl Flurrie, Coop senior sales manager, said: “Santa's parade is a big occasion for us. We always look forward to him coming to the store and the opening of the grotto.
“It's the start of Christmas.”
