THE jury in the trial of two sisters accused of assaulting a woman in a Felixstowe restaurant has cleared one, but failed to reach a verdict on the other.
Before Ipswich Crown Court were Nichola Owen, 41, of Manor Grove and Anita Bolton, 39, of Manor Road, Felixstowe who both denied assaulting Sarah Fountain causing her actual bodily harm during an incident at the Alex restaurant last September.
After a week long trial a jury found Bolton not guilty but could not reach a verdict in respect of Owen.
The prosecution now has a week to consider whether Owen will face a retrial.
