ELECTRICIAN Jason Hadley had been employed by his company for just seven days when he tragically died in Ghana.
The sad death of Mr Hadley, 24, from Ipswich, came a week after he started a new job as electrical technician for Eurotech Technical Services, in Accra, Ghana.
The exact circumstances around his death on September 13 remain a mystery. His company has today announced it has not launched an investigation as he died outside work hours.
The electrical engineering and construction company for the drilling and offshore oil industry is based in Fife, Scotland, and has clients from more than 40 countries across the world.
Bill Bingham, the firm's managing director, said: “Mr Hadley worked for us for seven days. He was an employee of ours when he died. There is no investigation ongoing here because it happened outside working hours.
“During his short time with us, we found him to be diligent and hard working.”
Mr Hadley had gone to Ghana to work as an electrician for a company which had given him work previously on the Heathrow Airport Terminal Five project and in Norway, but returned to Ipswich regularly.
He had recently bought a house in Fircroft Road, which he was doing up for him and his four-year-old son Roman to live in.
Everyone who knew him is welcome at his funeral, which takes place at noon on October 11 at St Augustine's Church, Ipswich.
