A CONVICTED killer, who spent 13 years on the run after escaping from prison, has finally been caught in Holland.
James Hurley, 45, was serving life for the murder of off-duty policeman Frank Mason during a bungled security van raid in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, in 1988.
He escaped in 1994 while he was being transferred to Wandsworth Prison in London by bus.
Hurley was re-captured by Dutch police who were investigating a suspected drugs factory in The Hague on November 9.
