REGATTA Quay on Ipswich Waterfront is one of 20 winners of the prestigious Daily Mail Property Awards for 2007.
The development won the award for innovative engineering work by Glanville Consultants - which included work on ways to combine the existing Victorian maltings building with the new-build flats, offices and new theatre for the Red Rose Chain Theatre.
Glanville's Nigel Porter said: “The developer's objective was to create an attractive marina and dock-side environment through the combination of tastefully converted original buildings and new-build using a variety of complementary materials.
“As is common in waterside developments, a number of interesting challenges had to be surmounted and we are delighted with the final scheme.”
