And Hannah Hoyle - whose children's clothes designs have already been sold on the High Street by John Lewis - is hoping her amazing creations will land her one of the country's top awards.
Miss Hoyle, studying for a fashion studies degree at University of Derby, has beaten off 300 contenders to get through to the final of the Young Designer of the Year competition at the Clothes Show.
It means her designs will be modelled on the catwalk at the Birmingham NEC on December 10 in front of the bosses of Europe's top fashion houses.
Miss Hoyle, 22, whose mum and dad Lou and Les live in Hollesley Road, Alderton, near Woodbridge said: “It is quite exciting and I am really looking forward to it.
“I am making the dresses at the moment and they should be finished next week.”
The grey silk dress subtly reveals glimpses of Monroe's face from a famous Warhol print between its box pleats as they open as the model walks and has traces of the famous “air vent” scene from her 1955 movie The Seven Year Itch.
Miss Hoyle said: “I spent three months in America and that was where I got the inspiration - I loved all that Hollywood glamour, history and pop art and just wanted to combine them.”
Miss Hoyle, a former student at Farlingaye High School, took a year out in her second year at university and had a placement with John Lewis in the company's fashion design team, designing children and women's wear, some of which was sold in store.
Overall winner of the Young Designer competition will receive an internship with a leading fashion designer, £2,000 of prize money, and £1,000 donated to their university.
