PART of huge cedar tree fell down in a residential road today.
Ipswich Borough Council's arborists Mark Smith and Barry Rumbell were called to Gorsehayes, Ipswich, at around 6pm to clean the massive branches from the road.
The tree is in a private garden but some of its branches overhang the public footpath.
Mr Smith said the sudden fall of part of the tree was probably due to a phenomenon called the summer branch drop, which happens when a tree is under stress.
