Kyle Knights, from the Pinewood area of Ipswich, was injured in a collision involving two mopeds and a Ford Mondeo in Anglesea Road, at around 6pm on Tuesday.
Staff at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge today said the 16-year-old's condition was still considered to be critical.
Another teenager involved in the crash was discharged from Ipswich hospital earlier in the week.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene of the crash on suspicion of dangerous driving and later bailed to return to Ipswich police station on October 2.
