COMEDIAN Bernard Manning has died today.
A spokesman for the North Manchester General Hospital released the news this afternoon, which was confirmed by his Embassy Club venue in Manchester.
The controversial entertainer was 76.
The peak of his fame was during the 1970s, when he appeared on ITV programme The Comedians, but in more recent years his act fell out of favour after being branded sexist and racist.
