THREE suspected cannabis factories were raided by police in Suffolk today.

Officers swooped on houses in the west of the county in the early morning raids and seized 600 cannabis plants.

They searched the properties in Bury St Edmunds, Red Lodge and Worlington where they discovered cannabis plants and hydroponics equipment.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to produce and supply cannabis. They are a 39-year-old from Bury St Edmunds and a 22-year-old man from Red Lodge.

The pair were taken to Bury St Edmunds police station. It is expected they will be questioned throughout the day.

The raids were carried out at 8.30am.
