TELEVISION'S Antiques Roadshow is heading to Suffolk this autumn, it was announced today.
Show makers said the programme will be filmed at the grounds of Kentwell Hall, Long Melford, on Thursday, September, 13.
Some of Britain's leading antiques and fine arts specialists will be on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors.
Michael Aspel, who has presented the show for the past seven years, said: “The Antiques Roadshow is literally a national treasure.
“It's a detective story, a game show and a history lesson.”
The roadshow's visit will be from 9.30am to 4.30pm and is expected to attract between 1,500 and 2,000 visitors.”
People with large pieces of furniture or other big items who want to take part in the show can send details and photographs of their objects to Antiques Roadshow, BBC, Whiteladies Road, Bristol BS8 2LR or e-mail them to antiques.roadshow@bbc.co.uk. It may be possible to arrange to look at the item in advance and organise transportation to the venue.
