MORE than 200 people took part in a sport and games day for those with disabilities.
The annual event, organised by Suffolk disability charity Optua, is staged at the Royal Hospital School in Holbrook and is now in its eight year.
Organiser David Finn, Optua's leisure services manager, said the day had proved a real success.
He said: “It went extremely well and the weather held which was good.
“The North Ipswich Pirates ended up winning but everybody had a great time.
“This is our eight year and our sixth at the Royal Hospital School and it's become quite a well known yearly event within the disability world.
“There is a competition but it's about getting out and getting some exercise, enjoying the weather and meeting new people.”
Among the activities at the event on Thursday were basketball, egg and spoon racing, throw the Wellington Boot and target games.
