HOUSEHOLDERS got the fright of their lives tonight after a car crashed into their house in Felixstowe town centre.
A taxi went through the garden fence of the detached property on the corner of Cobbold Road and Princes Road after swerving to avoid a car coming out of a junction.
The cars were in collision but the taxi, which had been travelling down Cobbold Road towards Garrison Lane after picking up a fare in Hamilton Road, also collided with the property.
It is understood no-one was seriously injured in the incident, which happened around 5pm.
