TWO people and a dog have been rescued from a river today during a dramatic afternoon rescue.
Emergency services were called to Castle Street in Thetford, Norfolk, just after 1pm when they received a report that a woman had fallen into the river.
Fire crews from Thetford were dispatched, as was the rescue boat from Norwich.
When they arrived they found there was actually two people in the river, along with the dog.
The crews used lines from the bank to haul the pair out of the river and the dog was retrieved a short while later. All three escaped injury.
