COMMUNITY leaders and environmentalists from across Suffolk have today signed a pledge to try to make the county the greenest in England.A Think Tank of representatives from agencies across Suffolk met at the Adnams Distribution Centre in Reydon today to sign up to a statement of intent entitled Suffolk - Creating the Greenest County.
COMMUNITY leaders and environmentalists from across Suffolk have today signed a pledge to try to make the county the greenest in England.
A Think Tank of representatives from agencies across Suffolk met at the Adnams Distribution Centre in Reydon today to sign up to a statement of intent entitled Suffolk - Creating the Greenest County.
The statement is a shared vision for sustaining a new approach to environmental issues.
The first task of those signing it is to come up with ideas on how people can play their part in reducing the effects of climate change.
Those signing the agreement included Bishop Richard Lewis, Bishop of Ipswich and St Edmundsbury; University Campus Suffolk; Suffolk Agricultural Association and Suffolk County Council.
