MOTORISTS using the M25 are facing delays today following an early morning accident that claimed the lives of three young people on their way home from the V music festival.
MOTORISTS using the M25 are facing delays today following an early morning accident that claimed the lives of three young people on their way home from the V music festival.
The accident happened on the M25 between Junction 28 and Junction 29, Brentwood and Upminster, in a clockwise direction at around 3am.
The road is expected to be closed for much of the morning.
Essex Fire Service said three people in their early 20 died in the single vehicle accident involving a people carrier with six people.
Two were thrown clear of the accident while four were trapped.
Crews used Heavy Clan Lukas cutting equipment to free the trapped passengers.
Firefighters finished cutting them from the vehicle by 5.10am.
The three surviving passengers were left in the care of ambulance crews.
