A PUB has become the first in Ipswich to be closed under new powers given to police to combat violence and disorder.The Spread Eagle in Fore Street was issued with a closure order on Friday evening after police were called to a serious fight which resulted in three men being arrested.
A PUB has become the first in Ipswich to be closed under new powers given to police to combat violence and disorder.
The Spread Eagle in Fore Street was issued with a closure order on Friday evening after police were called to a serious fight which resulted in three men being arrested.
All three men have now been charged with grievous bodily harm and the pub will remain closed until a review of its licence is made.
