OUTSTANDING performers in the recruitment industry are celebrating after winning awards in the Archant Suffolk Recruitment Awards 2006.
The best of the best in the industry were honoured at an awards ceremony held at the Elizabeth Hotel Copdock.
There were 11 award categories which recognised the top performers and 32 finalists were in the running.
Among the winners was Find-A-Job, which is based in Queen Street, Ipswich, which won the coveted Recruitment Company of the Year award.
The judges said that Find-A-Job demonstrated a real commitment to the local community and business. They proved a very high retention of customers and are often recommended by other local agencies.
Select Recruitment, based in Museum Street, Ipswich won the Best Induction Programme award while Ipswich Town Football Club won for Best HR Practice.
The judges said that Select Recruitment made inductees feel integrated into the team and were able to hit the ground running while Ipswich Town proved that “staff are critical to the culture”.
Mark Westall, Archant business manager, said: “It was a fantastic evening. The winners were truly deserving of their awards.
“One thing is for sure - the judges had a very difficult job choosing the winners.
