TWO motorists have been taken to hospital after being involved in a road accident on the A14 at Wherstead.
Police were called numerous times at around 11.20am today to reports that lumps of wood were lying in the westbound carriageway.
The two cars, a Fiat Arosa and a Ford Focus, were believed to be in a collision as a result of the wood in the road which measured between six to 12ft long.
A man and a woman were taken to Ipswich Hospital for neck pain and both vehicles were taken off the road immediately so there were no delays because of the crash.
