EXTREME weather hitting Suffolk could mark the start of bitterly cold weather across the region, a Suffolk weather expert warned today.
Outbursts of hail and thunder will be accompanied by strong winds of up to 50mph tonight and tomorrow and once it calms down a drop in temperature will be felt.
Ken Blowers, the Star weatherman, said: “Heavy showers with hail have already started in the county but more will follow and there will be some thunder too.
“Winds could get up to 50mph in some places and the bad weather will continue until Saturday.
“Then it will become a lot colder and there will be frost on some mornings.”
