SILENCE descended over Portman Road football stadium this afternoon as fans held a minute silence in memory of the five murdered Suffolk women.
The Right Reverend Richard Lewis, the Bishop of Suffolk and St Edmundsbury spoke to the crowd ahead of today's match against Leeds at 3pm.
The Bishop called for the women's memories to live on and prayed for peace for their families.
Silence then descended on the stadium as the Ipswich squad led the crowd in the minute's reflection.
