SUFFOLK firefighters were called today to tackle a large straw fire in Spexhall.
SUFFOLK firefighters were called today to tackle a large straw fire in Spexhall.
Crews from Southwold, Bungay, Leiston, Beccles and Saxmundham went to the fire on the A144 at 12.30pm.
At 12.40pm firefighters from Felixstowe went to a field fire at the rear of the Moon and Sixpence Caravan Park in Waldringfield. The blaze was brought under control by 1.25pm.
At 1.10pm a Stradbroke crew spent 20minutes tackling a blaze at Heveningham Hall, where half an acre of grass was alight.
