POLICE are appealing for information after a man held up a building society in Aldeburgh.The incident happened at the Ipswich Building Society in High Street, Aldeburgh at about 11.
POLICE are appealing for information after a man held up a building society in Aldeburgh.
The incident happened at the Ipswich Building Society in High Street, Aldeburgh at about 11.50am today .
A man, holding what appeared to be a gun, entered the premises and demanded cash.
A quantity of cash was handed over and the ban left.
No one was hurt in the incident and there were no customers in the building society at the time.
It is thought the man was wearing a light coloured top and a denim hat and staff have described his as white, 5ft 7in to 5ft 8in and in his late 30s to early 40s.
He is said to have a "squashed" nose and is thought to have left in the Thorpeness direction.
