POLICE are today appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was robbed at knifepoint in Ipswich.
The 23-year-old was walking from the Ipswich skate park to the train station at 6.20pm yesterday when he was approached at the junction of Burrell Road and Stoke Street.
The man asked the victim for a cigarette before pulling out a blade and demanding he hand over an MP3 music player.
The offender has been described as around 18-years-old, between 5ft 10ins and 6ft and of medium build.
He was wearing a distinctive light blue top with "New York 23" on the front, "23" on the top of the left shoulder and "New York" across the hood.
It also had writing in red and white around the bottom of the sleeves and bottom of the waist.
He was wearing dark coloured jeans and a red scarf wrapped around his face inside the hood of the jacket. The victim was shocked but unhurt.
