IPSWICH Town footballer Darren Bent has been given a formal caution by police after an incident in which a 12-year-old boy was shot with a BB gun.
The striker was arrested on May 12 after the boy was allegedly struck in the back with a plastic pellet while playing in Kesgrave.
Two weeks later, on May 26, a second boy came forward alleging he had also been struck.
Bent was released on bail without charge until today.
A police spokeswoman confirmed that Bent answered his bail at Woodbridge police station this afternoon and was given a formal caution in connection with three offences.
