OFFICERS hunting a rapist are processing their findings after they returned to the suspected crime scene to conduct anniversary checks.
One week after the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl on a Stowmarket towpath, police officers returned to the area in an attempt to trace people who were in the vicinity at the time.
The girl, who is from Stowmarket, reported to police that she was raped after leaving the town's Excel nightclub around 3am last Sunday to look for a friend.
She claims the man who raped her was someone she had met in the club. She says he left with her - and then raped her on the towpath at the rear of the club.
