TWO police officers were injured as they tried to bring a scuffle outside an Essex pub under control.
The officers were among "numerous" police called to the Circus Tavern in Purfleet at 2am today.
A rumpus involving several people had broken out and four men, three from Luton and one from London were arrested and are now being questioned at Grays police station.
Windows were smashed and considerable damaged was caused to the pub. A police spokesman said the injured officers were treated by the police surgeon.
