AFTER up to 20 hours missing, helicopter crews found a Suffolk pensioner lying in a field with his dog, suffering from sunstroke.
Suffolk police helicopter crew who had been looking for the 74-year-old spotted him in Clare Cemetery at 1.25pm on Saturday.
They requested the air ambulance as it was impossible to get to him by a land ambulance.
Paramedics found he was suffering from mild sun burn, heat stroke and dehydration. It is believed he had been out overnight, since disappearing up to 20 hours earlier.
He had been taking his dog for a walk at the time who stayed at his side at all times.
Paramedics from the East Anglian Air Ambulance airlifted him to West suffolk Hospital.
