DOCTORS and ambulance crews were called to treat around 30 people who were thought to have inhaled chemicals at a Cambridge company.
Suffolk Accident Service doctor, Paul Silverston, joined three other rescue doctors from Cambridgeshire when workers at chemical company Heraeus Noblelight on Cambridge Science Park complained of feeling unwell.
Workers said they had felt ill on Wednesday afternoon and also on Thursday morning and were sent home.
Dr. Silverston said: "They felt light headed and a bit nauseus and had scratchy feeling throats."
All the workers were gathered together in a room to be checked over by doctors and paramedics before being sent home.
No treatment could be given because it was unclear what chemical they had been affected by and no-one was hospitalised.
Dr. Silverston said there are all different types of treatment such as oxygen and nebulisers depending on what the chemical was.
He said he was called at around 10am, yesterday morning and was there for around four hours although many people's symptoms were starting to wear off by that time.
