A WARNING has been issued to people living near a farm in north Suffolk where a barn containing chemical fertiliser caught fire to be wary of possible effects on their health.
A WARNING has been issued to people living near a farm in north Suffolk where a barn containing chemical fertiliser caught fire to be wary of possible effects on their health.
Fire crews were called to the blaze at Pound Farm, in Redisham Road, Ringsfield, near Beccles, shortly after midnight this morning where a large barn was on fire. The fire was extinguished by 2am.
Nearby residents were not evacuated but they have been warned that if they notice any symptoms such as sore throats, itchy eyes or a feeling similar to being drunk to contact their doctor or go to hospital.
