A Suffolk pensioner has fallen victim to bogus callers claiming to be from the gas board.
The woman let two men into her home in Gregory's Court, Sudbury, between 6pm and 7pm on April 6. While she showed one of them into the kitchen the second man stayed in her living room.
When they made no attempt to read her gas metre, the woman became suspicious and asked them to leave. They ran off in the direction of The Croft and Gregory Street and it was later discovered they had stolen a quantity of cash.
