BUFFED to a high lustre, a succession of gleaming Rolls-Royce cars cruised majestically to a museum for their first rally of the season.
Members of the East Anglian section of the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts' Club had come from far and wide to the Museum of East Anglian Life in Stowmarket.
They included Bernie Breton, a Canadian who settled in Cambridgeshire some 20 years ago, who arrived in his gold-coloured 1952 R-type.
The cars at the rally spanned the years from 1920s coach-built models to the more modern production-line marques.
Among them was a cream-and-maroon1954 Silver Wraith, which was first licensed to the Cable and Wireless company in London, then spent 13 years as the official limousine of the Mayor of Walsall.
