AN investigation was under way today into a suspected arson attack on a parade of shops in a town centre.
More than 35 firefighters were drafted into Woodbridge to tackle a major blaze that broke out in the town's Turban Centre.
It is believed arsonists started a fire in rubbish bins behind the centre and it then quickly spread to the nearby shops.
Fire crews were drafted in from Woodbridge Ipswich and Felixstowe to tackle the blaze, which started at about 8.45pm.
They arrived to find the fire had taken hold of Finch's fruit and vegetable shop in Hamblin Road, with the roof of the premises already well alight, and took an hour to bring it under control.
