AN Ipswich drug user who said he wanted to be jailed has been sentenced to three years. At Ipswich Crown Court Carl Last, 35 of Swinburne Road pleaded guilty to burgling a baker's shop and a newsagent and to driving while disqualified.
AN Ipswich drug user who said he wanted to be jailed has been sentenced to three years.
At Ipswich Crown Court Carl Last, 35 of Swinburne Road pleaded guilty to burgling a baker's shop and a newsagent and to driving while disqualified.
He also admitted possessing cannabis resin and amphetamine sulphate and to three times failing to surrender to bail.
Judge Gareth Hawkesworth said Last had a "very bad" criminal record and he was "sad" to hear Last told probation he wanted to go to prison rather than face a community punishment.
Judge Hawkesworth jailed Last for a total of 37 months.
