The Reade Sixth Form Centre also boasts a stylish cappucino bar offering speciality teas, coffees, doughnuts and pizzas.
A record number of 196 sixth formers, have started the academic year at the mixed boarding school – an increase of 10% on last year's intake.
Dr Paul Chapman, head of sixth form said, "This is a tremendous addition to the excellent facilities we have for sixth form study. It will also provide a valuable social and recreational facility."
The Centre is named after Gifford Sherman Reade, the school's most significant benefactor, who died in 1929.
Mr Reade gave the school's parent charity Greenwich Hospital, his estate in Suffolk and £1million. This allowed the school to move from Greenwich, London in 1932, to its current site on the banks of the River Stour.
