YOUNGSTERS in Felixstowe had spooky fun at the Lowbiza safe dance event.

Teenagers celebrated Hallowe'en in style at the Lixs nightclub where they danced the night away.

Free transport was laid on for the 13 to 17-year-olds allowed to join the party on Thursday where drugs, alcohol and smoking were banned.

The revellers started arriving at 7.30pm where they had non-alcoholic cocktails and listened to dance music played by club and radio DJs.

They were also given prizes, giveaways and advice on safe internet and SMS messaging as well as information on other issues including sexual health.

The Hallowe'en-themed party was organised by the Lowbiza partnership which includes Lixs nightclub (formerly Central Park), in Sea Road, Suffolk Constabulary, Suffolk Coastal Council, Suffolk Primary Care Groups, Millennium Volunteers and Suffolk County Council's Community Education team.

The evening went according to plan and no problems were reported at the event.
