A man has been taken to hospital with a stab wound following a serious assault in Ipswich.
Police were called to the Hare and Hounds pub in Norwich Road just after 5pm today.
They arrived to find a man in the pub suffering from a deep knife wound to just below his shoulder. He was taken to hospital where his condition is being assessed.
A spokesman for the East Anglian Ambulance Trust said that the man was believed to be Algerian and in his late 20s.
Police have sealed off a section of Orford Street, leading from the back door of the Hare and Hounds.
