Although some exhibitors only just managed to arrive, and others were not able to attend during the rainy weekend, participants heralded the South East Ipswich Cage Bird Society's show, held at Ransomes Sports and Social Club, a great success.
The best bird in the show was a Gloucester Canary belonging to the Durrell partnership.
Top novice canary was the Hembry family's unflighted yellow hen Norwich Canary and they also won the novice border canary and best fife canary categories.
The juvenile category was won by David Southgate's border canary and the juvenile budgerigar shown by Jessica Burt went on to win the best budgerigar in show.
